Back by popular demand again this year, after the overwhelming success of our initial 2024 beer tankard-making workshops.

This is your chance to have a bit of a play with clay while making and decorating your own 1 pint beer tankard.

We will guide you through each step of the making process and then we will bisque, glaze and fire your pieces off-site.

Once the firing is completed, we then courier your personal tankard to you within 2 weeks, after the festival.

This Saturday pre-midday tankard making session is ideal for those who are planning to fully participate in the beer fest - get your tankard made well before all those wonderful Hallertau beverages make hand-to-eye coordination a serious challenge!

As spaces on at each workshop are limited, we strongly recommend that you book your place in advance, to avoid disappointment on the day.

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE: You will make a 1 pint beer tankard (with optional decorating if you choose) - see pics - Please Note: While some of the images may look like the forms are angled, they are in fact straight vertical sides

TOOLS: We have all the tools , patterns and forms that you will need

PROVIDED: All clay and the Sky Creme, Amber Waves or Blue Grey glazes (you choose), plus all bisque and glaze firing of your tankard

PLEASE BRING: your own hand towel and apron, if you have one - if not we will have hand wipes & some “shared” towels available

WHEN: Friday 4th October 4:00 - 5pm (approx. 45 - 60mins)

WHERE: Stables Pottery tent located in the festival market square
