Auck Folk Festival - Tall Tumbler-making pottery workshop - Sun 1:30pm

This is your chance to have a bit of a play with clay, make and decorate your own tall tumbler.

Roughly within an hour, using templates, formers and decorating tools provided by Stables Pottery, you will decorate and assemble the body of your tall tumbler. If you wish, you can make and attach a handle before adding any final personal touches and selecting what colour you wish your tankard to be glazed (Gloss White, Green Tea, Blue Denim or Hopstack).

We will bisque and glaze fire your piece off-site and then courier them to you within 3 weeks, after the festival.

TOOLS: We have all the tools, patterns and forms that you will need

PROVIDED: All clay and a selection of trusted glazes, plus all bisque and glaze firing for of your tankard

PLEASE BRING: your own hand towel and apron, if you have one - if not we will have hand wipes & some “shared” towels available

WHEN: Sunday 1:30pm (approx. 1 hour)

WHERE: Stables Pottery tent, located in the Folk Festival market square
